Dr.-Ing. Peter Jäschke übernimmt zum 1. Juli 2019 die Leitung der Abteilung Produktions- und Systemtechnik des Laser Zentrum Hannover e.V. (LZH). Er folgt damit auf Dr.-Ing. Oliver Suttmann, der in die Industrie wechselt.
Dr.-Ing. Peter Jäschke ist bereits seit 20 Jahren am LZH tätig und hat 2011 die Leitung der Gruppe Verbundwerkstoffe der Abteilung Produktions- und Systemtechnik übernommen. Er studierte Physik an der Carl von Ossietzky Universität Oldenburg und promovierte 2012 an der Leibniz Universität Hannover zum Thema „Laserdurchstrahlschweißen kontinuierlich kohlenstofffaserverstärkter Kunststoffe und thermoplastischer Polymere“ zum Dr.-Ing. Seine Hauptforschungsgebiete sind die Bearbeitung von Kunststoff und Faserverbundwerkstoffen.
Die Leitung der Gruppe Verbundwerkstoffe übernimmt Dipl.-Ing. Verena Wippo, die bereits seit 2011 in der Gruppe als wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin tätig ist.
