Digitalisation, industry 4.0 and tailor-made in-house programmes dominate the new university continuing education programme at Graz University of Technology, which will comprise around 40 part-time master’s and university programmes, courses and seminars by 2020.
New in the TU Graz Life Long Learning programme is the part-time master's programme Lean Construction Management, which already started in September and provides students with in-depth knowledge of lean methods in the sense of modern, agile project organization and management of construction projects. The AI Essentials seminar celebrates its premiere in the summer semester. Participants gain basic knowledge about artificial intelligence and its application in an entrepreneurial context.
However, there is also a choice of tried and tested continuing education programmes: The master's programme SpaceTech optimally prepares graduates for key roles and management tasks in the international environment of the aerospace industry, and the master's programme Traffic Accident Research provides specialist knowledge in the field of vehicle technology and safety. The seminars Big Data Essentials and Data Science provide the necessary tools to operate successfully in the data-driven age, and in the PYTHON course, interested parties can familiarize themselves with the basics of this programming language. Further information on these and other TU Graz Life Long Learning programmes can be found online at lifelonglearning.tugraz.at.
Special offers for companies
In the coming year, individual programmes – predominantly with a focus on digitalisation – will also be open to companies that want to set new impulses and prepare their employees for the innovations in everyday working life. "We want to help companies master the challenges they face in connection with digitalisation and Industry 4.0," explains Christine Stöckler-Penz, head of Life Long Learning.
