Auf Vorschlag von Prof. Dr. Alfred Haverkamp, Mittelalterliche Geschichte, Fachbereich III, hat die Alexander von Humboldt-Stiftung Prof. Dr. Michael Toch, Hebrew University Jerusalem, den Humboldt-Forschungspreis für ausländische Wissenschaftler in Höhe von 50.000 Euro verliehen. Damit wird eine Verstärkung der Zusammenarbeit des Preisträgers insbesondere mit dem Arye Maimon-Institut für Geschichte der Juden in Trier für ein großes Forschungsprojekt gefördert.
