The Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree course is conducted in English and is aimed at university graduates holding an undergraduate degree that lasted at least six or seven semesters (three years). Prospective students can apply for the coming winter semester. The application deadline is 15 April 2021.
At TU Bergakademie Freiberg, the Master’s students specialize in international management in the field of international economics and resources. Students can expect modern economic content with a focus on resource-related industries and international management. By combining these two areas of focus, they should become experts for the raw material markets in catching-up economic regions in Eastern, South-Eastern and Western Europe as well as emerging countries in Asia and Africa. "The new MBA aims to prepare prospective managers for the current challenges that the internationality of the raw materials industry brings with it.", explains Prof. Dr. Johannes Stephan, Professor of International Resource Policy and Development Economics at TU Bergakademie Freiberg.
After just one semester, students can choose between the two specializations of International Business or Resources and Environment and consequently concentrate on economic or ecological issues with special consideration of resource management. The new Master’s course includes a semester abroad at one of the partner universities in Paris XII (France) Poznan (Poland), Trento (Italy), Lappeenranta (Finland), Moscow (Russia), Hyderabad (India), Wuhan, Xiamen and Beijing (China). In cooperation with the universities in Poznan, Beijing and Wuhan, it is possible to acquire a double degree.
