Privatdozent Dr. Christoph Schwindt, Universität Karlsruhe, Institut für Wirtschaftstheorie und Operations Research, wurde am 3. März durch den Präsidenten der TU Clausthal Prof. Dr. Ernst Schaumann zum Professor für Betriebswirtschaftslehre, insbesondere Produktion und Logistik am Institut für Wirtschaftswissenschaft ernannt.
Professor Schwindt, geboren 1968 in Freiburg im Breisgau, studierte Wirtschaftsingenieurwesen an der Technischen Hochschule Karlsruhe (1988 - 1993) und promovierte 1997 am Institut für Wirtschaftstheorie und Operations Research der Universität Karlsruhe (TH). Im Jahr 2001 wurde Professor Schwindt mit dem Rudolf-Henn-Preis für Operations-Research ausgezeichnet. Die Lehrbefugnis für das Gebiet der Operations Research erhielt Schwindt mit der Habilitation ( 2002). Im vergangenen Wintersemester übernahm er die Vertretung der C4-Professur für Wirtschaftsinformatik und Operations Research an der Universität Halle-Wittenberg.
Prof. Dr. Schwindt tritt die Nachfolge von Professor Dr. Stefan Helber an, der einen Ruf an die Universität Hannover angenommen hatte.
