Die Fachhochschule für Informatik (WISZ) im polnischen Gorzow richtet in Zusammenarbeit mit der Fachhochschule Lausitz (FHL) am 25. und 26. März 2004 eine Konferenz zum Thema "Neue IT-Technologien in der Praxis und in der Theorie" aus.
Sechs Professoren und wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiter aus dem Studiengang Informatik im Fachbereich Informatik/ Elektrotechnik/ Maschinenbau der FHL in Senftenberg sind mit Fachvorträgen beteiligt.
Die gemeinsame Konferenz in Gorzow ist ein weiterer Schritt im Rahmen der Zusammenarbeit beider Hochschulen. Erste Kontakte wurden bei einem Treffen im März 2003 während eines Workshops an gleicher Stelle geknüpft. Hier vertraten der damalige Vizepräsident, Prof. Dr. Bernard K. Glück, und der Studiendekan Informatik, Prof. Dr. Martin Weigert, die FHL.
Für die weitere Zusammenarbeit ist über das Socrates-Programm der Europäischen Kommission ein Austausch von Dozenten und Studierenden geplant.
