Ranking unterstreicht Spitzenposition der WHU-Forscher im Bereich Lieferketten-Management
Im kürzlich erschienenen SCM Journal ListTM Ranking 2022 erreicht die WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management weltweit den 9. Platz unter jenen Hochschulen, die empirische Forschung im Supply Chain Management (SCM) betreiben. Sie ist damit seit sieben Jahren in Folge die forschungsproduktivste SCM-Forschungseinrichtung außerhalb der USA.
Das Ranking basiert auf den Publikationen der letzten fünf Jahre, im aktuellen Fall zwischen 2017 und 2021. Unter der Vielzahl an Rankings, die Supply-Chain-Management-Programme bewerten, gab es lange Zeit kein Ranking, das explizit die Forschungsleistungen im SCM berücksichtigt. Diese Lücke schließt das SCM Journal ListTM Ranking, das Supply-Chain-Management-Fakultäten nach ihrer Forschungsproduktivität, gemessen an der Anzahl der Publikationen in führenden SCM- und Operations-Management-Zeitschriften, rankt.
Die WHU Supply Chain Management Group verbindet die unabhängigen Lehrstühle für Internationales Management & Beschaffung I (Prof. Dr. Lutz Kaufmann), Internationales Management & Beschaffung II (Prof. Dr. Felix Reimann), Logistik & Dienstleistungsmanagement (Prof. Dr. Carl Marcus Wallenburg), Logistikmanagement (Prof. Dr. Stefan Spinler), Operations Management (Prof. Dr. Liji Shen), Produktionsmanagement (Prof. Dr. Arnd Huchzermeier), Sustainable Urban Transport (Prof. Dr. Arne Strauss) sowie die Assistenzprofessorinnen Marjolein Buisman and Jiachun Lu.
