Linnaeus University and the School of Business and Economics become accredited by AACSB

Since 2016, the School of Business and Economics has worked to become internationally accredited by AASCB, which is the world’s largest accrediting body and network for business schools.

The accreditation means that Linnaeus University has earned an internationally recognised quality mark as proof of the high quality and clear focus on the future on its programmes in business and economics. Linnaeus University’s School of Business and Economics is now among the only 6% of the world’s 17 000 business schools that have reached the level required for an accreditation.

During the last six years, the School of Business and Economics has conducted systematic development work with the aim to earn an accreditation. There has been continuous quality-assurance of education, study environment, research, collaboration, and skills development. The accreditation decision from AASCB comes after a rigorous review process and it will, among other things, make it possible to attract highly qualified national and international students and members of staff to the School of Business and Economics.

Susanne Ackum, dean at the School of Business and Economics, describes the work:
“We have been working together throughout this journey and implemented new ways of thinking and working. We have had a constant focus on steady improvements and we have taken big steps, which we are immensely happy and proud of today”.

Vice-chancellor Peter Aronsson has also taken part of the happy news:
“These are fantastic news! I am so impressed by all members of staff and colleagues who have worked hard to make this reality. I would really like to thank you all!”, says Aronsson.
