Jun.-Prof. Dr. Jennifer Schluer and her team from Chemnitz University of Technology want to discuss new approaches to digital feedback in teaching with international experts at a hybrid conference from June 29 to 30, 2023 - Contributions can be submitted until March 15, 2023
From June 29 to 30, 2023, the first international conference on the topic of digital feedback in teaching will take place in the "Altes Heizhaus" at the Straße der Nationen 62, campus of Chemnitz University of Technology. The Junior Professorship of TESOL / Advanced Academic English (Head: Jun.-Prof. Dr. Jennifer Schluer) organizes the hybrid conference entitled "Spotlight on Language Teaching: Digital Feedback in Research and Practice" (DigiFeed Conference 2023).
Papers for the conference can be submitted online until March 15, 2023. The conference is held predominantly in English and is open to researchers, teachers, and students alike.
"The focus of our conference is on technology-enhanced feedback processes, which have become increasingly important in recent years due to the proliferation of online teaching," as Assistant Professor Dr. Jennifer Schluer explains. She organizes the conference and has published on these innovative topics. Tools for technology-assisted feedback can include text editors, cloud documents, forums, wikis, chats, or recorded audio, video, and screencast feedback. The conference will also discuss how interactive feedback models, such as those based on social media, can be integrated into teaching. In this way, new perspectives for the implementation of digital feedback in research and teaching will be developed.
