FIBAA at the LEARNTEC - Lecture on "Quality Assessment of Digital Teaching" on 23 May

Miriam Mesenholl Marketing & PR
FIBAA - Foundation for International Business Administration Accreditation

Diane Freiberger, Managing Director of FIBAA, will give a presentation entitled "Quality Assessment of Digital Teaching" as part of the "Higher Education" theme area at this year's LEARNTEC.
LEARNTEC is Europe´s largest event for digital education at school, university and work and takes place from May 23 to May 25 in Karlsruhe, Germany.

Digital learning formats in higher education have developed significantly in terms of quantity and quality in recent years. Universities are currently faced with the challenge of strategically implementing digital teaching and learning formats in their offerings. Face-to-face and online teaching must be combined in a meaningful way, because at very few universities do teachers and students want a return to exclusive either/or solutions. In addition to a convincing didactic concept, questions of future training and development of university staff play an important role. And finally, universities must integrate these aspects into the university's internal quality management system.

Diane Freiberger, Managing Director of the accreditation and quality assurance agency FIBAA, will present at LEARNTEC on 23 May at 12.00 noon how, in the sense of a holistic approach, the evaluation of the quality assurance of the digital teaching and learning environment can take place. The consideration is independent of whether it is a matter of exclusively digital study programmes or digital teaching and learning offerings that are meaningfully integrated into a face-to-face study programme. The presentation will be held in German.

In 2020, FIBAA began developing a certification to raise the profile of the digital transformation at universities and educational institutions. To this end, it used the input of external experts from higher education management and developed internationally comparable standards for quality assurance of digital forms of teaching and learning in workshops.

FIBAA (Foundation for International Business Administration Accreditation) is a European quality assurance agency for higher education and continuing education programmes. Founded in 1994, FIBAA is registered as an accreditation agency in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Indonesia, Vietnam and Ukraine. FIBAA is also a member of the European quality networks ENQA (European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education) and EQAR (European Quality Assurance Register for Higher Education) and CEENQA (Central and Eastern European Network of Quality Assurance) as well as the international networks INQAAHE (International Network for Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education) and AQAN (ASEAN Quality Assurance Network).

With the certification "Excellence in Digital Education"®, FIBAA has created an internationally applicable instrument for quality assurance in digital teaching. It defines quality standards for digital teaching and learning and makes them nationally and internationally comparable.
