The world’s leading global health conference starts on October 15th in Berlin
Climate change and health, pandemic prevention, digital technologies, the role of the G7 and G20 in global health, 75 years of WHO – issues like these are topping the agenda at the World Health Summit 2023 from Oct. 15-17 in Berlin. The three-day conference is held under the theme “A Defining Year for Global Health Action”, setting the agenda for a healthier future for all. More than 300 speakers from all regions of the world are expected, among them over 20 ministers and numerous government representatives, as well as representatives from academia, industry, politics, civil society, and international organizations.

Among the confirmed speakers for the opening ceremony on Sunday, October 15 at 6:00 PM CEST, are: German Minister of Health Karl Lauterbach, French Minister of Health Aurélien Rousseau, Bharati Pravin Pawar, India’s Minister of State of Health & Family Welfare, Youth Envoy to the President of the UN 27th Climate Change Conference (COP27) Omnia El Omrani, Ayoade Alakija, medical doctor from Nigeria and WHO Special Envoy, as well as WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, who will join live digitally.
