On Saturday, 11 November 2023, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., medicine, research, studies and the MHH training professions to touch and participate in.
Let's go to Hannover Medical School (MHH)! On Saturday, 11 November 2023, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., doctors and researchers will present medicine to touch, try out and participate in at the open day. Guests will be offered a varied programme with more than 40 stands and numerous guided tours. Here are a few examples:
Career start at the MHH
Interested in a career at the MHH? As in previous years, the diversity of training at MHH is a special highlight. Guests will get an exciting first-hand insight into the different professional worlds, from nursing to laboratory work to industrial mechanics, from both experienced MHH colleagues and trainees. According to the motto "Explore, discover and experience with all your senses", there will be technology to touch, hands-on stations, campus tours into the heart of the MHH and much more.
The "Road of Cancer Medicine”
Another focus on the Open Day is oncology: from prevention to early detection to innovative cancer operations, the "Street of Cancer Medicine" shows the latest developments for many types of cancer. Do I have a hereditary risk for cancer? How can complementary care help to alleviate symptoms and strengthen self-healing powers? These questions will also be answered by the MHH experts. Guests can also try their hand at hands-on activities.
Discover virtual worlds
In addition, visitors can experience, among other things, what navigated surgery can do in trauma surgery, they can try out for themselves how 3D reconstructions in anatomy succeed with the help of VR glasses or have a mobile lung function test performed. Pathology shows live microscopy, there is education and advice on organ donation and how the ear can hear well for a lifetime. The event is the MHH's contribution to the "November of Science" of the Hannover Science Initiative. So let's go to the MHH on
