The international seal of quality for outstanding education: KLU was recently granted accreditation by the US-based Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB International). The AACSB is one of the most prestigious accreditations for business schools and management universities and stands for the highest-quality education and research. Further, it is a confirmation that Kühne Logistics University is not only one of the world’s leading universities for Logistics and Supply Chain Management, but also among the best business schools and universities for Management globally.
“We are immensely proud to have achieved AACSB accreditation, officially joining the top 5% of the world’s best business schools,” says Prof. Dr. Andreas Kaplan, President of KLU. “This accomplishment is particularly significant given that the accreditation process takes several years and requires an institution to be at least ten years old. Having been founded in 2010, Kühne Logistics University couldn’t have reached this milestone any sooner. This achievement further demonstrates that, thanks to the strong support of the Kühne Foundation, KLU has consistently delivered excellence in both teaching and research from the outset.”
Seal of quality for excellent education
KLU was able to demonstrate that it had the resources, qualifications and commitment needed to offer its students a top-flight, future-oriented education. “The AACSB accreditation is a testament to our commitment to excellence,” stresses Niels Tolkiehn, Head of Quality Management. “This achievement is the result of the collective efforts of our faculty, students, and staff. It underscores our dedication to creating a learning environment that meets the highest international standards and prepares our graduates to succeed in the global marketplace.”
KLU’s leading global position reinforced
The AACSB is a non-profit organization and has stood for the highest quality standards since 1916. In order to receive the coveted AACSB seal of approval, participating organizations must demonstrate excellence in nine standards, which are divided into three main areas. These include strategic management, which covers the university's mission and capacity for innovation, the quality of teaching and support for students and teachers, and the institution's social impact and thought leadership. KLU scored highly in all of these categories, with its internationality being accentuated by the ongoing construction of the new KLU Campus in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
A team effort at KLU
Moreover, the accreditation reflects the commitment of the entire KLU Community. According to the press release from Stephanie M. Bryant, Executive Vice President and Chief Accreditation Officer at the AACSB: “The AACSB accreditation honors institutions that demonstrate excellence in all areas, including education, research, curriculum development and student learning. We wish to congratulate the President of KLU, Andreas Kaplan, on the accreditation, and to commend the entire team – including the administration, faculty, staff and student body – on the part they played in earning this coveted distinction.”
Prize-winning education
In addition to the AACSB seal, all degree programs offered at KLU have received the FIBAA Premium Seal. This seal of quality is awarded worldwide to universities and degree programs demonstrating high quality and is based on an assessment including 50 categories.
