As the Conferences of the Parties (COPs) convene, IDOS is pleased to present its new web special, United for the Planet. It features IDOS’s contributions toward the three COPs: the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) and the UN Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD). These Conferences are crucial to addressing the ever-deepening planetary crisis.
“United for the Planet” provides a comprehensive overview of IDOS activities at these events, including relevant publications, ongoing projects and contact details of experts available for further information.
The COPs serve as key platforms for enhancing global and national efforts in biodiversity protection, climate change mitigation and adaptation, land restoration and drought resilience, and for ensuring adequate financial support, especially for countries with limited capacities.
As an observer organisation, IDOS is actively participating in processes, presenting research findings at various events and analysing progress on key agenda items of the negotiations.
Our experts are available for interviews and background discussions in English and German.
