Professor Dr. Wolfgang Borutzky (Fachbereich Informatik) von der Fachhochschule Bonn-Rhein-Sieg wurde unlängst für die Zeit von 2004 bis 2006 in das Board of Directors der Society for Modeling & Simulation International (SCS) gewählt.
Gegründet 1952, ist SCS die älteste und renommierteste non-profit Gesellschaft, die von freiwilligen Experten aus Wissenschaft und Industrie getragen wird. Sie organisiert internationale Konferenzen, unterhält regionale sogenannte councils und publiziert neben Tagungsbänden (Proceedings) zwei angesehene Journale sowie Bücher. Sitz der SCS ist San Diego, Californien/USA.
Schon jetzt sei an dieser Stelle darauf hingewiesen, dass Professor Borutzky für Juni 2006 an der Fachhochschule Bonn-Rhein-Sieg die 20th European Simulation Multiconference organisiert.
