Cyberagentur initiates exchange on data reduction with AI upscaling
Partnering event for the research programme DDK - Networking for innovative data processing
The Agentur für Innovation in der Cybersicherheit GmbH (Cyberagentur) invites you to the virtual partnering event of the DDK research programme. The focus is on the development of technologies for targeted data reduction and reconstruction in difficult communication environments. The event serves to network potential research partners and to prepare the programme call.
The Cyberagentur is organising a virtual partnering event on 25 March 2025, from 14:00 to 16:00, on the research programme "Data reconstruction after targeted data reduction in difficult communication environments" (DDK). The aim is to bring together the scientific community, companies and institutions that are researching innovative approaches to data transmission and processing.
The DDK research programme deals with the optimisation of video, image and sound transmissions in environments with limited bandwidth. Data rates are to be reduced through the use of artificial intelligence without any relevant loss of information. This enables more efficient communication in safety-critical scenarios and reduces the strain on the infrastructure.
"The ability to utilise visual and audio data without loss despite adverse transmission conditions is essential for internal and external security. With DDK, we are creating the basis for resilient communication systems in crisis situations and challenging environments," says Dr André Müller, Research Officer at the Cyberagentur.
During the partnering event, interested parties will receive detailed information on the research programme and can network with potential partners for consortia. Registration is possible until 10 March 2025 via the landing page of the Cyberagentur: https://www.cyberagentur.de/programme/ddk/.

Background: Cyberagentur
The Agentur für Innovation in der Cybersicherheit GmbH (Cyberagentur) was founded by the German Federal Government in 2020 as a fully in-house company of the Federal Government under the joint leadership of the German Federal Ministry of Defence and the German Federal Ministry of the Interior and Community with the aim of adopting a cross-departmental view of internal and external security in the field of cybersecurity with a focus on application strategy. Against this backdrop, the work of the Cyberagentur is largely aimed at the institutionalised implementation of highly innovative projects that are associated with a high risk in terms of achieving the objectives, but at the same time can have a very high potential for disruption if successful.
The Cyberagentur is part of the National Security Strategy of the Federal Republic of Germany.
The Cyberagentur is headed by Prof Dr Christian Hummert as Scientific Director and Managing Director and Daniel Mayer as Commercial Director.

You can combine search terms with and, or and/or not, e.g. Philo not logy.
You can use brackets to separate combinations from each other, e.g. (Philo not logy) or (Psycho and logy).
Coherent groups of words will be located as complete phrases if you put them into quotation marks, e.g. “Federal Republic of Germany”.
You can also use the advanced search without entering search terms. It will then follow the criteria you have selected (e.g. country or subject area).
If you have not selected any criteria in a given category, the entire category will be searched (e.g. all subject areas or all countries).
