Die Ständige Ägyptologenkonferenz (SÄK) wird vom 02. bis 04. Juli 1999 zum zweiten Mal an der Universität Trier stattfinden.
Bereits 1981 tagten die Ägyptologen in Trier. Bei der SÄK handelt es sich um eine jährlich veranstaltete deutschsprachige Konferenz mit internationaler Beteiligung aus Deutschland, der Schweiz, Österreich, Frankreich und Ägypten. Das Fach Ägyptologie im Fachbereich III an der Universität Trier rechnet mit einer Teilnehmerzahl von rund 300 Personen.
