An der Technischen Universität Dresden startet am Wochenende der größte europäische Physikkongress des Jahres. Zur Tagung der Deutschen Physikalischen Gesellschaft (DPG) treffen sich vom 13. bis 18. März rund 7000 Wissenschaftlerinnen und Wissenschaftler aus aller Welt, darunter fünf Nobelpreisträger und mehr als 600 Fachleute aus dem Ausland. Das vielseitige Tagungsprogramm spannt den Bogen von der physikalischen Grundlagenforschung zur angewandten Forschung. Im Fokus stehen beispielsweise die Computer von übermorgen, die Hightech-Untersuchung von Kunstobjekten und das Auf und Ab des Finanzmarktes.
