SRH Hochschule Berlin

SRH Hochschule Berlin is again offering its Solar Winter School. Industry experts and people
who are interested in photovoltaics are invited to become certified “Solar Employees” and
“Solar Entrepreneurs” during the two-week intensive training course. The workshop, which is
held in English, provides substantial training in the field of solar energy and offers participants the opportunity to meet and match with different companies from the solar industry.

Like last year the workshop is aimed at prospects from around the globe who want to gain a foothold in the promising photovoltaics and solar industry and who want to expand their knowledge and professional networks. The course which will be taking place from 30 January until 12 February 2017 offers the specialisations “Solar Employee” and “Solar Entrepreneur” and provides the opportunity to obtain specialised knowledge in the fields of photovoltaics and its commercialisation and funding.

The participants get to know relevant markets and technologies and they are able to connect and exchange ideas with other participants and industrial partners. During the two-week course, experienced lecturers and renowned photovoltaics companies will teach essential technological knowledge and the necessary management skills that are irreplaceable for a career in the solar energy industry.

The offer includes on-site workshops and an online preparatory course with information material and short films. Thus participants can get all the relevant information in advance and are able to acquire the relevant basic knowledge.

As a special feature participants can choose a focus to make the course align with their careers and their situation in life. The “Solar Employee” focus is aimed at people with professional experience in the field of renewable energies, who are looking for further training. It is also aimed at prospects and engineers who want to enter the market and take a position in an energy company.

In the “Solar Entrepreneur” specialisation course, potential founders, who have great interest in the photovoltaics sector will get to know the basic PV knowledge, get all the relevant industry information and have the opportunity to make new contacts within the industry.

People who are interested can sign up until the beginning of the course. For further information please contact course director Matthias Raab (re-training@srh-hochschule-berlin.de, Tel. +49 162 800 2010).

The SRH Solar Winter School is once again organised in cooperation with the Berlin project development agency PV-Projects. SRH Hochschule Berlin is the ideal partner and course provider in the fields of photovoltaics and sustainable power generation with its own International Institute for Sustainability Management and two study programmes focusing on renewable energies.
