Der Senat der Hochschule Mainz hat am 10. Juli eine Präsidentin gewählt. Nachfolgerin von Amtsinhaber Prof. Dr.-Ing. Gerhard Muth wird Prof. Dr. Susanne Weissman.
Nach einem Lehramtsstudium studierte Susanne Weissman Psychologie an der Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg, wo sie auch promoviert wurde. Im Anschluss war sie als freiberufliche Psychotherapeutin und Unternehmensberaterin tätig. Seit 2004 ist sie Professorin für Psychologie an der Technischen Hochschule Nürnberg Georg Simon Ohm, seit 2008 Vizepräsidentin der Hochschule. Susanne Weissman wird ihr Amt am 1. März 2020 antreten.
