In dem Forschungsschwerpunkt Theologie Lateinamerikas wird u.a. der Prozess der Evangelisierung in Paraguay vom 16. bis 18. Jh untersucht. Anhand der Analyse der ersten beiden Katechismen des Volkes der Guarani werden Perspektiven und pastorale Intentionen der Missionare erörtert.
