Mit Günter Verheugen, Mitglied der Europäischen Kommission, und Professor Dr. Axel A. Weber, Präsident der Deutschen Bundesbank und KölnAlumni-Mitglied, konnten namhafte Referenten gewonnen werden. Zunächst wird Axel Weber über "Neuer Fokus der Europäischen Integration" sprechen, anschließend Günter Verheugen über "Europa braucht Mut zu mehr Europa".
An der nachfolgenden Podiumsdiskussion werden sich neben den beiden Referenten auch Alexander Graf Lambsdorff, Mitglied des Europäischen Parlaments, Dr. Monika Wulf-Mathies, Leiterin des Zentralbereichs Politik und Nachhaltigkeit der Deutschen Post AG und ehemaliges Mitglied der Europäischen Kommission, beteiligen. Die Diskussionsleitung übernimmt Professor Dr. Peter J. Tettinger, Vorstand des Instituts für Öffentliches Recht und Verwaltungslehre der Kölner Universität.
