Mit dabei ist auch der Leiter des MathFilm Festival 2008, Prof. Dr. Konrad Polthier. Polthier ist Professor am Fachbereich Mathematik und Informatik der Freien Universität Berlin und selbst Filmproduzent. Sein 40-Minuten-Streifen "MESH - eine Reise durch die diskrete Geometrie", den er zusammen mit Regisseur Beau Janzen gedreht hat, erhielt zahlreiche internationale Preise.
Beau Janzen studierte Graphik-Design und hat unter anderem an Filmen wie Spiderman und X-Men mitgearbeitet. Zudem schrieb und animierte er kurze Bildungsfilme, unter anderem für die NASA und General Motors. Zurzeit lehrt Janzen am Art Institute of California Mathematik und Computeranimation.
Dano Johnson begann seine Filmkarriere an der University of Texas beim Austin`s Student Television, wo er unter anderem zwei eigene Shows produzierte. Darüber hinaus entwickelte er Bildungsserien für Kinder und Multi Media für Schüler an High Schools. Sein letztes Werk ist Flatland, ein computeranimierter Film nach dem berühmten Roman von Edwin A. Abbott.
