Die Deutsche Akademie der Naturforscher Leopoldina, seit Juli 2008 Nationale Akademie der Wissenschaften, veranstaltet Ende Oktober ihre monatliche Sitzung in Münster. Das "Leopoldina Meeting", das diesmal unter dem Motto "From Nanoscience to Biomedicine" steht, findet damit zum ersten Mal in Deutschland außerhalb von Halle (Saale), dem Sitz der Akademie, statt. Gastgeber sind die Universität Münster, das CeNTech (Center for Nanotechnology) und das Max-Planck-Institut (MPI) für molekulare Biomedizin.
