The Impact of the Environment on Innate Immunity: The Threat of Diseases

"The threat of diseases: considering the options"/ European Science Foundation Conference

Its highlights will include vectors of disease - both an introduction to the model organisms, and what the prospects are for immunological interference in these organisms; innate defense molecules for use as antibiotics, environmental stressors and global change, emerging disease and innate immunity, and how our knowledge can be used to develop strategies against the spread of new diseases.

The threat of diseases: considering the options - is the second in a series of two conferences on the impact of the environment on innate immunity. The first conference was held in April 2007, and set the stage for discussing basic knowledge about one of the most important defense functions of organisms against
parasitic diseases: the innate immune system.

In May 2009 the follow-up conference will build upon the knowledge gained in the 2007 conference and will have a more applied angle.

Help

Search / advanced search of the idw archives
Combination of search terms

You can combine search terms with and, or and/or not, e.g. Philo not logy.

Brackets

You can use brackets to separate combinations from each other, e.g. (Philo not logy) or (Psycho and logy).

Phrases

Coherent groups of words will be located as complete phrases if you put them into quotation marks, e.g. “Federal Republic of Germany”.

Selection criteria

You can also use the advanced search without entering search terms. It will then follow the criteria you have selected (e.g. country or subject area).

If you have not selected any criteria in a given category, the entire category will be searched (e.g. all subject areas or all countries).
