Über die Mosse Lectures im Wintersemester 2013/2014:
In Zeiten der Krise verändern sich die Selbstdarstellungen und die Fremdbeschreibungen von Europa. Die Errungenschaften von Modernisierung und Fortschritt, von Zivilgesellschaft, universalen Menschenrechten, von staatlicher und überstaatlicher Ordnung werden in anderen Ländern und Kulturen sehr unterschiedlich gesehen und beurteilt. In der Vortragsreihe der Mosse-Lectures an der Humboldt-Universität sprechen renommierte Wissenschaftler und Künstler aus China, Indien, Israel, Südafrika und den USA über ihre Sicht auf Europa und den Westen.
