Im Mittelpunkt der Beratung stehen Fragen der Ausbildung an diesem Studiengang,wie z.B. die weitere interdisziplinäre Verzahnung von Mathematik (insbesondere Stochastik, Optimierung/Operationsresearch), Informatik und wirtschaftswissenschaftlichen Fächern.
Auch im Fachbereich Mathematik und Informatik an der halleschen Universität werden Studierende in der Fachrichtung Wirtschaftsmathematik immatrikuliert. Zur Zeit sind 42 Studierende dort eingeschrieben. Der Bedarf an Wirtschaftsinformatikern in den nächsten 20 Jahren ist enorm. Absolventen der Wirtschaftsmathematik finden nach Beendigung des Studium hervorragende Einsatzmöglichkeiten bei Banken, Versicherungen und Unternehmen in Marketing und Management.
