„Order" is a promise: a promise of security, of a higher-level structure of the world on which we can supposedly rely. This idea of order is an eminently political concept - and a contested one: in theory and practice, between intellectuals and politicians who compete for the interpretation of order. In the second part of the Berlin Correspondence lectures, Herfried Münkler and Michael Borgolte, both professors at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, debate competing interpretations of order in research and politics.
The Berlin Correspondences is the first series of events in the GORKI FORUM: a new platform for discourse and exchange under the direction of Esra Küçük. At the intersection of culture, politics and society, the Gorki Forum is collaborating with the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin and the Federal Foreign Office on a productive approach to social heterogeneity. The series is curated by Prof. Dr. Jan-Hendrik Olbertz, Dr. Andreas Görgen and Esra Küçük.
