Das erste Bild eines Schwarzen Lochs ist das Ergebnis der Zusammenarbeit von 200 Wissenschaftlern weltweit im Event Horizon Telescope-Projekt (EHT-Projekt). Mit von der Partie ist das europäische Black Hole Cam (BHC)-Team unter der Leitung von Astrophysikern der Goethe-Universität, des Max-Planck-Instituts für Radioastronomie (MPIfR) in Bonn und der Radboud University in Nijmegen, Niederlande. Die drei führenden europäischen Wissenschaftler werden über die Hintergründe dieses wissenschaftlichen Abenteuers in einem öffentlichen Abendvortrag berichten.
