Verleihung des Gottschalk-Diederich Baedeker-Preises 2025 an Sprachphilosoph Dr. Stefan Rinner

Aufhetzen, Trösten, Informieren oder Erklären – mit Sprache ist das alles möglich. Warum politische Reden und Hassreden eine so starke Wirkung haben, sind nur zwei Fragen mit denen sich Dr. Stefan Rinner an der Universität Duisburg-Essen beschäftigt – in Theorie und Praxis.

Nun wird der Sprachphilosoph mit dem Gottschalk-Diederich-Baedeker-Preis 2025 ausgezeichnet. Essens Oberbürgermeister Thomas Kufen überreichte ihm den mit 5.000 Euro dotierten Preis am 2. Dezember am Campus Essen.

16.00 Uhr Begrüßung Rektorin (Prof. Dr. Barbara Albert)
16.10 Uhr Worte zum Preis (PD Dr. Kathrin Sutter)
16.20 Uhr Vorstandmitglied G. D. Baedeker Stiftung, Essen
16.30 Uhr Laudatio (Prof. Dr. Raphael van Riel)
16.40 Uhr Thomas Kufen, Oberbürgermeister der Stadt Essen

anschließend folgt der Vortrag von Dr. Stefan Rinner zum Thema: “Die Sprachphilosophie von Hassreden und politischen
Reden”.

Nach dem Vortrag (ab ca. 17.30 Uhr) wird ein Buffet im Foyer des Glaspavillons gereicht.
