Zu hören sind Referate von Studierenden vieler Universitäten von Rostock bis München und von Bielefeld bis Dresden. Zusätzlich werden interessante Aspekte des Fachs durch Gastredner aus Jena (Prof. Dr. Frindte), Köln (Prof. Dr. Rössel), Konstanz (Prof. Dr. Soeffner) und Halle (Prof. Dr. Sackmann) vorgetragen. Die Veranstaltung wird unterstützt durch die Institute für Soziologie in Halle, Leipzig und Jena. Sie steht unter der Schirmherrschaft der Deustchen Gesellschaft für Soziologie.
