LUTZ NASDALA:
Geboren 1964 in Wittichenau/Deutschland, ist seit Juli
2009 Professor für Mineralogie und Spektroskopie an
der Universität Wien. 1985-90 Studium der Mineralogie
an der Bergakademie Freiberg, 1993 Promotion
ebendort. 1994-97 Postdoktorand an der University
of Hawai‘i, TU Freiberg, Universität Wien und Curtin
University of Technology, Perth. 1998-2002 Tätigkeit an
der Universität Mainz als Habilitand (2001 Habilitation
zur Metamiktisierung des Minerals Zirkon) und wissenschaftlicher
Mitarbeiter. 2002-06 Professor für Mineralogie
an der Universität Mainz, 2006-09 Professor für
Mineralogie/Mineralspektroskopie (Marie Curie Chair
of Excellence der Europäischen Kommission) an der
Universität Wien. Lehrpreis des Senats der Johannes
Gutenberg-Universität Mainz (2004) sowie „Lehrpreis
Rheinland-Pfalz“ (2006).
Forschungsschwerpunkte: Realstrukturen von Mineralen
und deren genetische Relevanz, Strahlenschäden in
U- und Th-haltigen Mineralen sowie durch externe
korpuskulare Bestrahlung, optisch aktive Defekte in
Kristallen, Anwendung und Weiterentwicklung spektroskopischer
In-situ-Methoden, Anwendung analytischer
Bildmethoden.
