ZUR PERSON:
Stephan Müller, geboren 1967 in Rosenheim, ist seit August 2010 Professor für Ältere deutsche Sprache und Literatur an der Universität Wien. 1988-94 Studium der Germanistik, Geschichte und Romanistik an der Ludwig-Maximilians-
Universität (LMU) München, 1997 Promotion ebendort. 1997-2002 wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter am Sonderforschungsbereich „Institutionalität und Geschichtlichkeit“ der TU Dresden, 2002 Habilitation ebendort. 2002 Oberassistent an der LMU München, 2002/03 Professurvertretung an der Universität Konstanz, 2003/04 Professurvertretung an der TU Dresden.
2005-10 Professor für deutsche Sprache und Literatur des Mittelalters an der Universität Paderborn. Laufende Projekte der Deutschen Forschungsgemeinschaft: Handbuch der deutschen Glossen und Texte des
Mittelalters in Geheimschrift, Edition und Übersetzung der Monsee-Wiener Fragmente.
Forschungsschwerpunkte: althochdeutsche Sprache und Literatur, Heldensage und Heldendichtung, Historische Erzählforschung, Theorie und Geschichte der
Schrift und der Überlieferung.
