In the summer semester 2024, the Research Colloquium of the Heidelberg School of Jewish Studies offers an insight into the diversity of Jewish Studies: the topics range from Jewish diaspora history to Israel studies; the disciplinary approaches include migration sociology, literary studies and Jewish religious education. In addition to the Heidelberg School of Jewish Studies, there will be numerous speakers from other locations, including Heidelberg University, Brandeis, Goethe University Frankfurt, Tel Aviv University and the American University. In addition to lectures on Judaism, there are numerous contributions on highly political topics, including Jewish-Muslim relations, the Arab-Israeli peace process and theological and post-colonial perspectives on the Middle East conflict.
