On 16 March 2018 idw has awarded the press offices of the Max Planck Institute for Human Cognitive and Brain Sciences, the Institute for the World Economy and the University of Innsbruck with the idw-Award 2017 for science
communication 2017.
After judgment of the jury they published the three best ones Science press releases of the past year. 85 press offices from Germany, Austria and the Switzerland had applied. The idw prize honors press releases that are of high craftsmanship (Quality), have outstanding news value and are scientifically relevant (relevance and originality).
