Die Veränderung der Radialgeschwindigkeit des aktiven G8 Unterriesen EK Eridani bedingt durch die Bewegung der Sternoberfläche. Drei aufeinanderfolgende Nächte mit dem HARPS-Spektrograph am 3,6-Meter-Teleskop der ESO in La Silla zeigen die stärksten Schwingungen bei 320?Hz (etwa 50 Minuten) bei einer radialen Amplitude dieser Schwingungsmode von 15 Zentimeter pro Sekunde.
