Oben: Hirnschnitt-Präparate durch den frontalen Kortex der Ratte zeigen bei unbehandelten Tieren Nervenzellen, die Parvalbumin enthalten (rot angefärbt) und von einem perineuralen Netz umgeben sind (grün angefärbt). Unten: Nach Behandlung der Tiere mit einem iTBS Protokoll ist das Parvalbumin weitestgehend verschwunden. Das grün gefärbte perineurale Netz beweist, dass die Zellen noch vorhanden sind, also nicht durch die Stimulation vernichtet wurden.
