Grafische Darstellung der Umlaufbahnen verschiedener Planeten um den Zwergstern der Klasse M herum (roter Punkt in der Mitte). Der blau-türkise Bereich, in dem die nun entdeckte Super-Erde (Planet c) liegt, bietet gute Voraussetzungen für die Existenz von flüssigem Wasser. Die bereits bekannte Super-Erde (Planet b) liegt zu nah am Zwergstern und ist zu heiß. Möglicherweise existiert eine weitere Super-Erde (Planet d), die aber wahrscheinlich zu weit entfernt ist.
