Ein heller Fleck, umgeben von einer Art Strahlenkranz ("Corona"), der dem Virus zu seinem Beinamen verhalf: Mehr ist von dem Coronavirus nicht zu sehen. Doch bei dem Virus handelt es sich um einen heimtückischen Erreger, der die schwere Atemwegserkrankung SARS auslöst. Identifiziert wurde das SARS-Virus am Hamburger Bernhard-Nocht-Institut für Tropenmedizin.
