Der sogenannte „Adorant“ aus der Geißenklösterle Höhle ist rund 38.000 Jahre alt. Die Anordnung der Markierungen lässt auf ein Notationssystem schließen, insbesondere die Reihen von Punkten auf der Rückseite der Platte.
