Die Vorstellung der Schülerinnen und Schüler über die Eigenschaften ihrer Idealberufe sind nicht deckungsgleich mit den Eigenschaften, die sie den ingenieur- und naturwissenschaftlichen Berufen zuschreiben. Weit auseinander liegen die Vorstellungen zur Arbeitsplatzsicherheit, der Vielseitigkeit der Tätigkeit und zu den Ausstiegschancen, Einkommen sowie zur Vereinbarkeit von Beruf und Familie. Hier zeigt sich, dass die Vermittlung der realen Berufsbilder und Tätigkeit deutlich verbessert werden muss.
