In dem dargestellten RIXS-Experiment wurden eisenbasierte Supraleiter mit Röntgenlicht aus der SLS bestrahlt. Das Licht regt in der Probe eine Spinwelle an und verliert dadurch Energie. Indem man den Energieunterschied zwischen einfallendem und gestreutem Licht bestimmt, kann man Informationen über magnetische Fluktuationen gewinnen.
