Die Grafik zeigt die merkwürdig elliptische Bahn des Pulsars und seines sonnenähnlichen Begleiters im Vergleich zum Erdorbit. Die Sonne und der vermutliche Begleitsterns sind um den Faktor zehn zu groß dargestellt, die Erde ist um den Faktor 1.000 vergrößert. Der Pulsar mit seinem Magnetfeld und den Radiowellen, die von ihm ausgehen, sind im Vergleich zur Bahn rund hunderttausendfach zu groß eingezeichnet.
