The latest news from our member institutions are presented on the idw homepage.
With a personal account, you can subscribe to scientific news according to your wishes and also set up your own homepage. Additionally you can bookmark news to read them later again.
Log in with “my idw” and compile your personal subscription from press releases and events. Select only what really interests you from numerous categories and subject areas and set the time when you wish to receive your e-mail subscription from us.
Conferences, colloquia, exhibitions, presentations, Open House days – you will find everything via “Events” (linked to events), the calendar (bottom right on the website) or the “Advanced search” (top right on the website). The events can easily be filtered according to subject areas and/or regions.
Retrieve news and event details via RSS feed. All idw facilities can also be accessed via a mobile account.
You will find further information under “Research”, where we also offers special materials for journalists. Press relations officers of scientific institutions will find additional materials under “Publishing”.

You can combine search terms with and, or and/or not, e.g. Philo not logy.
You can use brackets to separate combinations from each other, e.g. (Philo not logy) or (Psycho and logy).
Coherent groups of words will be located as complete phrases if you put them into quotation marks, e.g. “Federal Republic of Germany”.
You can also use the advanced search without entering search terms. It will then follow the criteria you have selected (e.g. country or subject area).
If you have not selected any criteria in a given category, the entire category will be searched (e.g. all subject areas or all countries).
