HU-Informatiker Weltmeister im virtuellen Fussball
Das Soccer-Team des Lehr- und Forschungsgebietes fuer Kuenstliche Intelligenz an der Humboldt-Universitaet zu Berlin unter Leitung von Prof. Dr. Hans-Dieter Burkhard ist soeben
*** World Champion Simulation League RoboCup97 ***
auf der IJCAI-97 (International Joint Conference on Artificial Intelligence) geworden!
Beim RoboCup in Nagoya/Japan ging die HU-Mannschaft als einzige deutsche Konkurrenz in der ,Simulations-Liga" als Sieger hervor. Angetreten waren in dieser Kategorie 33 Mannschaften aus Japan, USA, Australien, Italien und Frankreich.
Nach souveraenem Gruppensieg wurden - im Viertelfinale: ein Team vom Tokyo Institute of Technology mit 14:7 - im Halbfinale: ein Team von der CMU mit 6:0 - im Finale: ein Team vom Tokyo Institute of Technology mit 11:2 geschlagen!
Neben den virtuellen Fussballkuenstlern gab es auch noch einen Wettkampf mit ,echten" Robotern.
