Vom 22. bis 24. Februar treffen sich an der Uni Würzburg über 100 der wichtigsten europäischen Internet-Wissenschaftler zur dritten jährlichen Vollversammlung des europäischen Exzellenznetzes "EuroNGI - Design and Engineering of the Next Generation Internet". Die Teilnehmer stammen aus 20 Ländern und repräsentieren über 50 führende Forschungsinstitutionen aus dem Gebiet des Entwurfs und der Leistungsbewertung des globalen Datennetzes. Das Treffen wird vom Lehrstuhl für Informatik III der Universität unter Leitung von Professor Dr. Phuoc Tran-Gia und seinem Team um Dr. Kurt Tutschku veranstaltet. Die Tatsache, dass das hochkarätige Treffen in Würzburg stattfindet, unterstreicht nach Aussage von Professor Tran-Gia die Exzellenz der Würzburger Informatik.
