Die Heinrich-Heine-Universität Düsseldorf und die Università degli Studi di Trieste bieten ab dem Wintersemester 2006/07 gemeinsam das neue deutsch-italienische Promotionsprogramm "Interkulturalität und Kommunikation / Interculturalità e comunicazione" an.
Dieses strukturierte, dreijährige Promotionsstudium wurde vom Deutsch-Italienischen Hochschulzentrum (DIH) in das Exzellenzprogramm aufgenommen und sieht ein intensiv betreutes, integriertes Forschungs- und Studienprogramm in Düsseldorf und Triest vor.
