Vor 15 Jahren hatten Haushalte lediglich ein Fieberthermometer, heute verfügt jedes häusliche Umfeld über eine breite Palette an Medizinprodukten. Besonders telemedizinische Geräte wie Blutzuckermessgeräte, Körperfettwaagen oder auch mobile EKGs leisten im Rahmen des Gesundheitsmonitorings zu Hause einen wertvollen Beitrag zu Qualitätsverbesserung und Kostensenkung. Neueste Forschungsergebnisse und die bereits auf dem Markt verfügbaren Produkte zum Patienenmonitoring werden am Donnerstag, den 12. Oktober 2006, beim 2. Ambient Medicine® Symposium im Technologiezentrum in Bernried am Starnberger See vorgestellt. Beginn ist um 10 Uhr. Veranstalter ist der Heinz Nixdorf-Lehrstuhl für Medizinische Elektronik der TU München (Prof. Bernhard Wolf) in Kooperation mit Omron Healthcare Europe und der Sendsor GmbH.
Die personalisierte Telemedizin ist zu einer komplexen, interdisziplinären Wissenschaft geworden. Das 2. Ambient Medicine® Symposium beleuchtet medizinische, technische, architektonische und rechtliche Aspekte. Ziel der Veranstaltung ist die Bündelung erfolgreicher Projekte zu einem interdisziplinären Konsortium.
