Terrormanagement ist das Thema eines Vortrags von Prof. Thomas A. Pyszczynski von der University of Colorado at Colorado Springs / USA, am Mittwoch, den 25. Oktober 2006, an der TU München (TUM). Der Psychologe ist derzeit als Stipendiat der Alexander von Humboldt-Stiftung zu Gast am Lehrstuhl für Sportpsychologie (Prof. Jürgen Beckmann) der TUM. Der Titel seines Vortrags lautet "Crusades and Jihads: A Terror Management Theory Perspective on Political Extremism" ("Kreuzzüge und Dschihad: Eine Terrormanagment-Theorie mit dem Blick auf Politischen Extremismus").
Thomas A. Pyszczynski ist einer der weltweit führenden Experten zum Thema Bewältigung von Todesangst und wurde vor kürzlich auf Platz 11 der produktivsten Sozialpsychologen der Welt geführt. Er gehört seit Erscheinen seines Buchs "In the wake of 9/11 - The psychology of terror" zu den meistzitierten Autoren zum Thema Terrorismus.
Der Vortrag findet am 25. Oktober 2006 von 16 bis 18 Uhr in der Aula der Fakultät für Sportwissenschaft (ZHS), Connollystr. 32, 80809 München, statt. Eingeladen sind alle Interessierten, der Eintritt ist frei.
