Jena. (04.04.00) Zum neuen Dekan der Physikalisch-Astronomischen Fakultät der Universität Jena wurde der Experimentalphysiker Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Witthuhn (57) gewählt. Der gebürtige Berliner, der 1994 aus Erlangen in die Saalestadt kam, löste offiziell zum 1. April Prof. Dr. Lutz Wenke ab, dem er zuvor als Prodekan zur Seite stand. Neuer Prodekan wurde der Theoretische Physiker Prof. Dr. Andreas Wipf (45). In der Biologisch-Pharmazeutischen Fakultät übernahm Prof. Dr. Martin S. Fischer (45) die Amtsgeschäfte des Dekans von Prof. Dr. Bernd Luckas. Der gebürtige Schwabe Fischer übernahm 1993 den Lehrstuhl für Spezielle Zoologie und Evolutionsbiologie an der Friedrich-Schiller-Universität und ist Direktor des Phyletischen Museums. Als neuer Prodekan unterstützt ihn der Pharma-zeut Prof. Dr. Matthias Hamburger (45).
